Looks like I may have to rethink this and check out the 2.0.

I have the auto sometimes I regret it sometimes I love it, but I'll always recommend it. The dsg pop is rather addictive (not sure on the 1.4) but you'll always have the full feel of the car with the manual.

Either way a fantastic car no matter what engine you get! :)

Hi again.
OK so I am now going to look at and test drive a 2.0 TSI GT (manual) :)
Is there anything I should be looking out for, it is on an 11 plate with 18000 miles?
Cheers

I agree with everyone on the 2.0 engine. The 1.4 is good but the 2.0 has far more potential and the mpg difference isn't much. The difference between my old 2.0 tdi and my new R is £12 a week but worth it and over a month is nothing really.

I got a 1.4 160 TSI and it makes me smile to drive... I also like the look on peoples faces because my supercharger is quite loud! But I have also driven the 2.0TSI and agree they feel better... Manual for me although DSG is efficient
