Has anyone used one of these, i want to know what they are like, for £170 they sound tooooo cheap to be genuine but look soooo tempting.

It's not "genuine" in that it's not an RNS510. But it does look like it fits the original hole and it does look like it does 90% of what the RNS510 does if not more. I think I'd be tempted to give it a try if I had a poorly RNS510 or wanted to upgrade from the non navigation unit (310 is it?). I agree tempting! I'd like to try one first though but not sure that would be feasible. Take a punt and report back.

Where you get the 170 from.....? Says 371 on the link I just looked at..? Lol

At that price, I'd look at one of the full android head units. I just installed the Ownice C200 (with more memory, better processor, better screen) for around the 350 mark (once I paid the additional import duty, extra micro SD cards, dual fakra cable and a dedicated 128gb USB drive for the 80GB+ of mp3s I have ;) ). I bought that direct from manufacturer on Alibaba.com rather than do eBay, as they have them marked up on there.

The lower spec models come in at around 250-300, depending on options.

Interface is pretty poor in places but this is still being worked upon by the manufacturer and developers over on xda.com (a very well respected android hacking site). These particular units are VERY new, but there are older variants that are more mature in terms of interface.

Functionality is very good tho, with canbus integration (so steering wheel controls still work, as do reversing sensors etc), sat Nav, Bluetooth etc plus when tethered to a phone (unlimited 4g on my Three Contract ;) ) or plugged into a 3g/4g USB dongle you have full access to the 'Net, Android apps, iPlayer, Netflix etc etc etc

If your interested I'll put up some pics n give more details, just let me know....

Cheers
