Scirocco 2.0 TDI 140 EGR Valve location????? Please Help!!

Im getting an error on vcds:

16787/P0403/001027 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve (N18): Malfunction

I am trying to locate the EGR Valve to take it out and clean it to see if it helps but i cant seem to find it anywhere...

Can anyone please help me?

You have newer CR TDI with EGR like in 1,6 TDI engines, it's hidden on back of engine, it's build-in with egr cooler.

Im getting the same error as yours - did you manage to resolve. would prefer giving the egr valve a clean before taking in to the dealer as have heard costs of up to £1000 with people managing to negotiate the price down

Apologies for raising an older thread but I have had this issue with the P0403 (N18) code .... After hours of research I have pinned it down to the high pressure EGR vacuum solenoid valve P/N 1K0906283A (check Ebay for the photo of part) and not the EGR unit itself. My engine is the same as the top photo, the newer CR. This part is located above the throttle body to the RH side with a White cap and Blue dot on the electrical connector.

This part is £50 new which if works is better than paying the figures banded around on here!

Please correct me if I am wrong.
