Starting problems on my 2009 scirocco

My car sometimes wont start no matter how many times i try , until i remove the key refit it and it starts first time!!! Any ideas anyone?? Thanks

You don't say if the car is turning over on the starter or not.

If not, could be a faulty ignition switch.

Could be a problem with the immobiliser if it turns over but doesn't fire.

Hi, yeah that's what it seems like, it's immobilised. I am trying the spare key to see if that makes any difference. Thanks!
