I've been on a stag do and drank for 3 days straight only to stop for the few hours I slept.
My last drink was over a day a go, how long should I wait ?

If you're in doubt don't drive. You should know yourself if you're ok or not. Maybe buy 1 of the over the counter breathalysers.

Under UK law, the number of units of alcohol must be displayed on the bottle or can or whatever other container a drink comes in. As a rule of thumb, allow 1 hour for initial absorption and 1 hour for your body to process each unit of alcohol. So, a pint of ordinary lager is about 2 units meaning that your body will have processed the alcohol in it after 3 hours (1 hour absorption plus 1 hour for each unit of alcohol). A pint of stronger lager, like Stella, will be about 3 units, so it'll take an extra hour for your body to get rid of the alcohol.
Apply that to an ordinary night out, where you start at 8 in the evening and might drink 5 pints and you can start to see the difference between strengths, as you'd need 11 hours to process 5 pints of ordinary lager but 16 hours if you were on Stella. This starts to make a massive difference the next morning, as you'll be clear of alcohol by 9 am if you were on the soft stuff but you wouldn't be alcohol free until 2 pm if you'd been on the Stella.
Add to that the challenge of counting how many units you've already consumed and you can see how so many people get prosecuted for drink/drive the morning after.

I guess you've definitely sobered up completely by now! Someone I work with got done for drink driving on Monday morning on the way to work after a heavy Saturday night out - it really pays to stay on the safe side if you aren't sure as everyones bodies deal differently with alcohol. I'm in Scotland, and the law got even more strict in December so I make sure I'm definitely safe to jump in my car!

Re: Driving after drinking
I was banned for 13 months I've only been driving again for 2 months.
That's why I was so cautious. Luckily I found my breathalyser. I left it about 38 hours to be safe hahaha, big weekend.
