Chaps,
I'm after changing the standard VW Centre caps for some "R" ones, everywhere I look it seems I can only find 65mm ones, my rims are 19" and I'm sure they are 70mm? has anyone else changed theirs?
Cheers,
Boyzie

Re: Centre Caps
If they are OEM VW wheels the cemtre caps are 65mm. The measurement is taken across the clips, not the overall cap diameter

Re: Centre Caps
I recently bought Cades Shift wheels and the manufacturer said the centre caps were 65mm. I bought some VW ones on EBay and guess what they are too small. The really annoying this is I believed them and drill one of the centre caps so I could get it off without damaging the wheel or taking the wheel off.
After measuring the one I got off it appears to be about 69mm, so I have ordered another set but 70mm. At a last resort if I can't get anything I will look for sticker, but you would think some Chinese company would have this sorted by now.
Well if my new VW ones fit at 70mm I will let you know and I would be interested if you find some R centres because I'm fitting mine on the new R if it ever gets here.

Re: Centre Caps
Drilled em out!! No way!! get some sticky velcro, like the unibond stuff, make a lip on the velcro, stick it on the centre cap and use a pair of pliers to pull them out, easy! To late now I know but a tip for the future mate! Please do let me know, yes.

Re: Centre Caps
Just replaced mine today on OEM 19" wheels & they're 65mm
I had two drop the wheels off to change them, velcro or suction cup didn't work.

Re: Centre Caps
Just go to TPS or a dealer, give them your reg or vin and they will order the right centre caps.
Not sure about the 17" wheels but the ones on the 18" and 19" wheels are 65mm
Take one off and measure it across the fixing tabs.
