Good day Gentleman and Lady-Gentleman.
I was wondering if anyone has had buyers remorse after buying the 1.4 TSI instead of the 2.0 or the R?
Regards.

Re: Buyers Remorse
Got a golf GTi (2.0 tsi) and 1.4 TSI. The 1.4 does not pick up as quickly from low revs (less torque low down) but having driven a 1.4 with stage 1 once above 3000rpm it is a great car. That said the fuel consumption is not that different so in hindsight would probably have gone for the 2.0 if I had known.

So you suggest a stage one remap on my 1.4? I am not at all disappointed, i just sometimes think of what could have been if I had got the 2.0salsajoe wrote:Got a golf GTi (2.0 tsi) and 1.4 TSI. Don't have stage 1 but tried a friends. Does take off above 3000rpm
and makes overtaking a dream. Unless you bought a late 2011 onwards 2.0 you would always have the thought that the timing chain tensioner could fail.
