Should I reset service indicator

Hi,
I bought my 2010 scirocco in August (absolutely loving it) and have just had a service required notification popping up on the MFD. When I bought it the salesman said it had been serviced, MOTed and gone through their usual used car checks. I did remember checking the service book and saw the stamp but in the excitement of the moment didn't pay enough attention to it (amateur I know). There is a service stamped for July this year and the MOT corresponds to this date but they haven't ticked any of the service boxes (or is this part of the usual used care checks?). So I have two questions, was this a service that would count towards a 'full service history' and therefore I don't need to get it serviced until next year when the MOT expires and therefore reset the service interval or do I need to keep on servicing it as according to the service schedule that is programmed in the MFD? Second is the DSG oil and filter tick box the mandatory 40K mile/£179 change (as I'll be pretty chuffed if they've done this)? I've attached a picture of the service book page to help.
Cheers
