Re: Help....mystery part!!
Checked that mate and it still says the image is invalid when following the instructions to the letter. I took the photo on my camera instead of my iPhone but still didn't make any difference.martdy wrote:Its in the help section

Re: Help....mystery part!!
Yes... you need to upload the photo to a hosting website and then post the direct image link (ending with a .jpg/jpeg/png/bmp/gif etc extension).dstill wrote:No mate, I thought I could just paste it into the post, will I have to open a photo bucket account?

Re: Help....mystery part!!
Hi dstill,
The mystery part that the garage kindly discovered for you is off a guide block part number 8T0-898-025.
Have you noticed that one of your seats no longer returns to it's last position when you let someone in the back of the car? If so you can easily replace the said item and fix your seat in 5 mins.
Look at my last post in the following topic 'seat tilt mechanism fault - new seat' for more info.
http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... 74#p123898" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Hope this helps, if you need any more info just let me know.

Thanks Tim, that's absolutely brilliant and yes you are right, it doesn't return to the original position!TimH wrote:Hi dstill,

Looked at your other post and this all makes sense now. I found the part on the floor of the car after my seat jammed one day. I took the car into the dealers and.....wait for it...........they said their chief technician confirmed that part was definitely not off a VW, i worry about the junior technicians in this case!!!!!!
My car still has 5 months warranty (2012 model) so i'm hoping they will resolve this FOC.
Thanks for all your help guys who have posted, its really appreciated.

Lol, that's going to be interesting but I don't know if I trust that dealership with my car again.
