19" Lugano Wheel & Tyre Swap
Hello All,
I've had my Rocco for nearly 4 years now, and love it. However, whilst the 19" Lugano alloys look great, I do rather feel that the chassis hasn't been tuned properly to this set up. Even in DCC 'Comfort' mode it's teeth-chatteringly crashy. Add to this the fact that at the first sign of a dimple in the road, the tires consume themselves, and without a shred of wall protection, they attract curbs. At £220 a corner for P-Zeros, I've spent the better part of a grand on tyres in a year alone.
Anyone else feel the ride is a bit OTT for a car that isn't designed for the Nurburgring?!
So, the point of all this: I would like to swap my wheels and tyres with someone's 18" set. I'm willing to pay for a full refurb of my wheels, if you'd do the same. It'll still be cheaper than buying a new set.
Any takers?

I must admit I don't find the ride in the Rocco on 19s too bad and £220 per tyre is OTT, IMO. Last set of P Zeros I bought from Camskill were £155 each.
Good luck with.the swap:-)

Re: 19" Lugano Wheel & Tyre Swap
I have never run 19"s and have always taken the view that its a etp too far in the real world of UK driving - if we are tslking every day use. I do agree that they are just too fragile for our pot-holed roads - perhaps not an issue on billaird table smooth German autobahns, but here....

@candy I'm in Oxfordshire.
I think they're lovely wheels, but I think they probably did their final chassis tune on 18" maybe on the basis that this is what most people would buy.
My DCC settings are 'HARD' and 'SLIDING DOWN CONCRETE STAIRS ON A TEA TRAY'...

@ bryand - Thanks for your PM. Because I'm a newbie for the forum, I haven't got PM enabled atm. I'm working on it.
In the mean time, tread depth is good (I'll measure in a bit), Yoko S-Drives all around.
Where are you based?

That wouldn't be a problem for me. We should probably arrange a meet to check their respective condition... somehow photographs won't really do it justice I don't think.

Sounds good to me, I will be honest and say that mine are only in average condition but would be happy with your suggestion of us both getting them refurbed.

Yeah, mine aren't in great nick either. They're all in working order, but one has a bit of a flat spot, another has a pretty good nick from a manhole cover.
I'm planning on getting a quotation for a full refurb and we can take it from there. Hopefully I'll get PM's enabled soon ish and then we can take this offline.

Hi mate,
Yep, still interested... Just having a minor cash flow crisis ATM which means I probably won't be able to get my wheels refurbed.
What wheels are you on?

What would you be looking at for interlagos & cash? No refurbs on either set though?
