Engine coolant

Just checked my oil etc and noticed that the engine coolant is at the minimum level. I have been informed you can used distilled water to top it up to midway between min and max levels.
Question is does anyone/can you use the distiller water from a dehumidifier? What do you guys recommend?
Thanks
Lokyt

I did use a little distilled water when mine had a slight leak (dealer recommended) to top up. So long as it is just small quantities there should be no problem. Ideally should be the G12/13 coolant to bring the level back.
Probably could use the water from a dehumidifier, again small quantities only.

How easy is it to get distilled water, no one round here stocks it and they all offer deionised water (which they don't understand is not the same as distilled).

Just use rainwater dude. Distilled but not pure but perfectly ok ;-)
