Hi guys,
Just taken delivery of a 2010 plate Scirocco R which is amazing!!
I have an issue with 2 things that i'm hoping you can help with: ( i have read quite a lot of info on here but found any recent responses)
1 - the media - usb adapter will not work with my iphone 5s ( using the official lightning to USB cable ) it's just not recognised
2 - when trying to stream audio via bluetooth, it only comes out of the front speakers and the sound quality is terrible.
Any ideas?
Thanks guys

Re: Bluetooth Query
1 - I use the official lightening connector with my 5s and it works fine. Have you tried an older iphone on your media cable?
2 - I read a lot of info on bluetooth before I did my install... tonnes! I do a forum that reported problems with sound and speakers etc... I'd recommend that you ensure the wiring is correct. Was the bluetooth uni installed from the factory?! Do you know what unit it is .i.e. Part number (if possible)

Re: Bluetooth Query
Thanks mate
It works ok with an iPhone 4 using the proprietary VW - 30 pin adapter.
I've tried a 30pinto lighting adapter as well as the official apple lightning cable but it doesn't recognise the input
It's an RCD 510 and it had a Fiscon bluetooth kit fitted to it aftermarket

Re: Bluetooth Query
is the lightneing adaptor you have tried official apple ? i have a one from the apple site worked fine with my works fine with my 5c, but if its a knock off one sometimes they're only good for charging and not for data transfer
Re: Bluetooth Query
yep official one.. it didn't even charge it actually.. i wonder if it's a fault with the VW - USB adapter..

Re: Bluetooth Query
Hold on..... Did you say you are using the USB VW adapter? It wont work in that case.
At all times with the iPhone, you need to use the VW 30 pin adapter. If you have a 30 pin to lightening adapter for conversion (official apple one), it should work fine. Hope I haven't misunderstood you.
I dont know a great deal about the fiscon unit, but not really heard anyone complain about bluetooth sound - perhaps you need to check the wiring from the RCD/RNS to the fiscon unit. Make sure all the pins are connected up correctly.
This will help for the pin assignments
