Scirocco R test drive
Tomorrow i have an appointment to go view a Scirocco R at Harrogate VW, i have a 2.0 TSI at the moment with a tun of issues and its irritating me. is it really worth the upgrade to an R?
I really love the look and i love the extra power, and i work out in sticks so the 4WD would be a little bit of a help.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Faults with my car atm -
Had it 6 months and I've had the passenger airbag replaced and now the fault lights on again. Engine lights is on "something to do with the exhaust" Driving me nuts this car and i love Vw's my dad has had like 5 GTIs and has an Edition 30 ATM and with no faults at all. i bought it from a place called "redline Racing" dono if anyone on here has had any dealings with them?
Any ideas or any advice would be much appreciated

The Scirocco.R is not 4WD, it's FWD like the rest of the Scirocco range. You need to go for a Golf R to get 4WDNosvartu wrote:

No scirocco r in their stock list online, there is a golf r, is that what you are testing? Or a scirocco r-line. But that is not an r

Over rated and overpriced like most of the Volkswagen range now
Obviously the problems you have had with your 2.0 TSI has put you off.

HAHA! yeah that was fun to find out when i got there... i said on the phone the scirocco R you have and the guy was like yeah sure! got there it was a TDI, almost like he was swearing at me.
Had so many issues with my car. First time i got it the windows made some awful noises above 100mph "not like that's ever been done... i'm a good boy"
which took them 3 attempts to fix. finally sorted now.
Second one was the Airbag light came on and stayed on, they checked all connections and just turned off the light "great fix" after much pursuit and calling them 24/7 they finally said they would replace the airbag, which "they said they did" but now i'm not sure as its come back on.
Final problem is that i was driving home from work and a engine light came on which Sh*t me up so i like trundled home to find out all it was is an exhaust light which they have repeated the process of the airbag light, turn it off. yet it keeps coming back on. Kinda getting sick of the crap i'm having with it i came to VW for the reliability and i'm not just saying its every car but annoyed that my 206 had a little more reliability than it.
I would go after a s3 but i hate the shape and now I've had the rocco i hate the golf shape which is very depressing as i loved the GTI + its just crazy insurance for someone my age.

Holy crap man, if that much ticks you off to that degree don't ever buy a Renault! Ha ah ha! In fairness though it's only warnings and stuff that could have been fixed hassle free not the car breaking down constantly, it sounds like you should hate the dealer not the car?........Nosvartu wrote:SMB wrote:No scirocco r in their stock list online, there is a golf r, is that what you are testing? I guess your right to be fair, i do hate the dealer and its annoying to the point of i went to the dealer for safety and some kinda of security if i went to a private seller i could understand, just annoys me.
I love the car when its warning light free.
