Donnington alloys wanted

Hi folks. Anyone know where I could source a set of 17" alloys. I would like to fit winter tyres on the car and have been looking around for some 2nd hand donnington alloys on eBay and gumtree but without success. I have a friend who has offered to sell me 17" alloys from his golf Gti. I'm not sure whether they will fit nor am I convinced that they will suit the car. Ideally I'd like a set of the donningtons. I upgraded to the interlagos alloys when I bought the car. I am going to try the local vw dealerships to ask if they have any sets for sale. Any advice / guidance would be greatly

The dealer!!! The answer will most likely be no! Hopefully you should get sorted out by one of the leads on here. There was a set for sale a week or so ago - although I think someone made an offer on them...

Guys, how much posts is required before you are able to view / utilize the buy / sell threads? Sorry to hijack the thread however, I am also looking for a set of 17 inch alloys to use as winter tyres for my scirocco R.
Will the donnington alloys fit?

2 years ago i went thru the same issue and managed to find a set of donningtons from 2 sellers in Ebay. Hasn't been easy and had to travel a long way to collect them.

One of them needs to be refurbished extensively and judging by the tyre that came with it, the wheel was probably being used in track days.

so be careful. Rather than VW donningtons, why not consider aftermarket sets? Dark/black rims would be good for winter to hide the grime.
