I've noticed that when accelerating on a tight bend or around a corner I can hear what sounds like a slightly electronic whining noise. I can only hear it if I have the window open.
It's not super loud, but if my window is open and I don't have the radio on then I can clearly hear it.
It doesn't happen when accelerating in a straight line, or around gentle corner or if I travel around a bend at speed... but as soon as I accelerate from low speeds around a tight bend I can hear the noise.
As said, the best way I can describe this noise is a kind of electronic whining sounds.... a bit like a remote control car would make, only a softer tone. And it appears to be coming from either the engine bay or thereabouts.
I'm pretty sure its not turbo related as it can happen at very low revs... i.e. 1k-2k rpm.
Any ideas, or anyone else having this noise??

I have the same car as you and used to get this but it was very intermittant. Sometimes there and sometimes not there. Spent ages trying to find where this irritating noise was coming from. resorted to stripping out panels, check sounactor doofy thingy. Changed turbo, mechatronics and all other kinds of stuff that cost me a small fortune but all to no avail.Sincs wrote:It doesn't happen when accelerating in a straight line, or around gentle corner or if I travel around a bend at speed... but as soon as I accelerate from low speeds around a tight bend I can hear the noise.

However, it completely and suddenly disappeared when I divorced the bitch. Whatta ya know. Easy fixes are the best so keep your fault diagnosis simple.
