Re: Heater fault
As you have Climatronic climate control you should be leaving the temperature set at the level you desire - not be raising it to full on a cold start. Leave it at say 22 and the system will do the work for you as its designed to (if its working properly). Your car will likely have an electric heater unit to assist the normal system on cold mornings. Turn this on by selecting A/C on and you should have warm air coming out quite quickly. Leave the heater controls alone once set at your desired temp.

Re: Heater fault
The point is that turning it up past 22 on a cold morning will do nothing at first! You could set it to 40 degrees but the system can only do what it can do. Are you using the auxilliary heater - no diesel is going to be throwing out warm air straight after a cold start?

Re: Heater fault
As I understand it, if you switch the "auto" function off the aircoming out should be roughly at the temperature that you set the dial to.
With the "Auto" function on the system tries to maintain the cabin environment at the set temperature, therefore ny either incrementing or decrementing the set temp the system will try to reach the desired temperature as quickly as possible and as such blows hot or cold air to do so. As it's a control loop it takes a time to do this.
Personally, I don't have any issues with the heater on the Rocco. Living in Scotland I don't need to use the heater that much:-)

Re: Heater fault
Thats your problem - it should be on most of the time for the system to work!!!ukgun wrote: I don't have the air con on at all

Re: Heater fault
Have you tried leaving it at a comfortable temperature & actually timing things. & do have a read of

Re: Heater fault
You seem to have missed the point of having to have the A/C switched on in order for the electric auxiliary heater to come on.
If the A/C is off the electric heater is off and the only way you are going to get any heat is if you wait a very long time for the engine to warm up.
Get that A/C on.
