The choices for internal non-visible are:
Standard: No dice

VW factory "Bluetooth": Work with most phone, and function as You would expect
VW factory "Premium Bluetooth": Works with most Nokia and one or two Sony & Motorola
- (this kit will by it self call (german?) emergency services if You have a big crash)

Kufatec.de and other "Bluetooth": Work as VW factory bluetooth, but without steeringwheel controls
Kufatec.de and other "Bluetooth Plus": Works as above, but has steeringwheel controls and can show turbo pressure et al.

Then there are the external on-dash or on-visor like Parot, that dodds98 mentions below.

Sorry mate unless someone can tell me otherwise you either have to have the VW telephone prep, which only works with rSAP phones, or an alternative such as a Parrot or Bury.
