Disabling the annoying Stop/Start

It's probably been covered but after 20 minutes searching i've given up!

Does anyone know how to disable the stop/start feature?

Forgot to mention i can obviously turn it off on the button on the dash but it just resets next time i drive it, so i'm looking to permanently turn this off.

doesn't look like it http://www.sciroccocentral.co.uk/forum/ ... off#p64799" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
as that feature is part of the reason it has got the tax banding etc I really don't think they would let you turn it off completely.

(not sure what terms you were searching for?)

Stop-Start is a spider's web in the wiring. It would appear, the focus is the Engine ECU Controller - 01.

An VCDS Autoscan of a none stop-start Engine Controller 01 v a similar normal Engine Controller codings may show up the bit that codes it. It may be around bit 9 in the controller coding that disables it or enables it.

It can be disabled with VCDS. I almost done mine, but then decided to leave it.
