Exhaust tips

Post by adbrad999 »

HI Guys (and gals),

Quick question(s), does anyone know where i can get a replacement pair of tips for my exhaust? I have tried polishing the chrome back to former glory but it has become pitted and even using metal polishes cannot get it back to how it was. I have seen ones on the milltek site, any ideas whether they are suitable for a standard r exhaust kit?

If so are they easy enough to fit?

Thanks

The replacement tips by Milltek are for their own exhaust system which come with interchangeable tips,

They will not go on a standard OEM R exhaust as the tips are part of the whole 1 piece system from cat back.

You will have to chop the OEM tips off but even then the exhaust diameter will be different I think

However the Milltek Black Ceramic Tips aren't looking so good after 20k miles.

But I have to say response from Charlie @ Milltek has been 1st class. Email sent Sunday night and today a replacement set arrived!

Will send the originals back for them to take a proper look at them.

Clean the exhaust tips often if you want to stop pitting and the black marks
