Trunk of car

Wondering where I can find a replacement for one of the strings that brings up the cover when opening the trunk of the car. Had to pick up a friend from the airport and after taking out some of the luggage one of the strings just cut in half. Should I just go to the dealer and ask for a replacement?? Thanks.

You probably can get one as a spare from VW but reckon it will be special order. alternatively you can prob find the same or very similar cord in a shop that sells cloth/material and other type of homecraft type stuff... We call them haberdashers in the UK but no idea if you have simialr in Greece.
