I asked West London VW in Chiswick to replace the tailgate bump stops and update the firmware of my RNS-510 to allow 7 digit postcode entry with the V8 maps that are already installed in it while the car was in for its second service.
I picked the car up, it had been serviced but they didn't have the bump stops in stock and they told me the software update wasn't needed.
After I got through explaining that the firmware is different to the map data and paid for the service it was 5.36pm. I went to the parts department to order the bump stops but they told me that the parts department was closed at 5.30pm, only the service department was open until 6pm.
Uninformed technician, unhelpful reception staff. A thoroughly unsatisfying experience all round. I'll be going to Wandsworth VW next time.

I use them too, in fact I got my car from them but only because it is close to the office.
Can't say I've been overly impressed either...

There are many poor VW dealerships, i've yet to visit a bad Audi one. I might be buying an Audi next time.
