Cruse control

Post by Dirtydicko »

Hi guys,

Can cruse be added on a 2012 Rocco after you have taken delivery of your car??

Salesman at dealership said something like the 2012 roccos can not have cruse fitted once delivered due to the storks (indicators) are all in one??

I'm slightly confused....

Well, the salesman was correct in way in that the cruise is on the indicator stalk. However, it is most definitely possible to retro fit. I had the dealer do mine before collection. There was a bit of an issue with MY10 cars but I believe this has been resolved now and folk have had it retro fitted on new cars.

Could be worth contacting these people (others available). http://www.vwcruise.com/Vw-Scirocco-Cruise-Control.html

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the info. So it looks like it is possible then!! For one reason or another I'm not picking the car up for another 7-8 weeks so do you think it maybe something the dealer can do and I'm talking to the wrong salesman?

I retro fitted cruise to my 2009 Roc, took me 1.5hrs, £60 for the stalk from VW, steering wheel off then replace the stalk, replace everything & code in vagcom Job done !

Easy fix, you could do this very easily.

If you call your local VW dealer & give them details for your car, they will tell you if it can be done or not + £ for the parts.

This is what I did 1st, then buy it & get it fitted.

I have had my Roc for about 6 wks now, I purchased the cc stalk from VW in Coventry which was off the shelf in stock, so bought mine very easily, just call your local VW for availability.

For cars pre revision, that single stalk required is easy & low cost to get from the dealers & install, for post revision like the op's car the parts are more expensive & not as readily available as its a combined stalk arrangement and installation not as straight forward many dealers won't do that install at all.

The thread linked by Ian above gives the full detail for post revision cars
