Jeez, I just had a full blown debate at work stating mine hasn't got it! Now I can't wait to check it out.

They do close when you hold down the lock button.

They also open if you hold the unlock button.

My previous Golf windows had issues where the windows dropped on their own. The 2nd time it did this whilst I was cleaning my front house door. After a few searches for the cause I found a post saying a garage mechanic replied to him (after he picked himself off the floor from laughing) that the unlock must have been pressed for more than 3secs in his pocket. That's what happened to mine too!

Also after already locking the keys in the boot, I fear the doors locking with keys in the ignition e.g. if I leave it running to defrost but I know it shouldn't unless it rolled downhill - it happened to Mr Bean!

Suffered from this one loads. On my old car (a clio GT), you had to hold the unlock button to open the boot. My brain is still used to this, having only owned the 'roc for 6 months. So many times I've held down the unlock key to open the boot, realised my error, corrected myself, but walked away leaving the windows down :grumpy:

An obvious update is to have the tailgate open button also unlock the doors to be safe. Is this possible in VCDS?
Oh and are there any time period that the car locks itself if not opened (in accidental unlocking) but knows if it's being occupied so doesn't?

If you accidentally unlock, I think it takes 20 secs to relock the doors again - Providing you havent operated the handles on any of the doors.

Interesting stuff about the tailgate button also opening the doors. Not seen this before, so might look into if it's possible

Most interesting thing I found was in Central Electrics---> Byte 2, bits 1 and 3

Auto Lock/Unlock for rear lid active (bit 1)
Central Locking Rear lid Active (bit 3)

I have both these ticked in mine. I didn't play around with it though. Has anyone tried? I imagine it would just stop the car locking when you close the lid without opening the doors :/. Just guessing
