'Roc rolling

Post by malachi »

Hello all,

I found out today that my new toy has been built (week 23), has had a sea voyage and is in the country

I'm told I can do my searching PDI around the 12th of next month. meanwhile, my Motability Mini passed its first MOT with flying colours

I'm not used to stuff going right

Some pics from my self-imposed PDI at the dealer's today.
It's looking good and I'm thrilled to have the black/charcoal headlining. Not sure what part of 'no badges' was misunderstood on my order but the 'Bluemotion' and '2.0 TDi' badges will be removed before I collect the car next Monday (16th).

Looking good!

Badge deletion is a PDI operation, not factory.

Didn't know that, ta! It may be just as well, 'cos I'm keeping the 'Scirocco' badge, just keeping the weasel bit under cover.

The black healining does look the biz doesn't it? Some people think it's too dark

Did you spec the smokers pack to get that ashtray cover!

Looks really nice mate, bet you can't wait to take her home

Thanks...roll on Monday afternoon :hyper:

When I borrowed a demo that had the light grey headlining, I thought 'too much grey', which is why I went for the truffle mooskin. The darker roof trim makes this choice work still better, IMHO, of course :D

Yes, I did choose the smoker's pack. I am, (as Billy C. put it) a 'Snoutcast'.

Gottit!  :hyper: :D

On today's lovely, soggy July afternoon I drove the 12 miles or so to the dealership and collected my brand new toy. I submitted my Motability Mini (see in the background of the pic outside the showroom) and will be getting the 'good condition' bonus.

Only had chance to do about 20 miles but am highly impressed. A refined, comfortable grown-up car. The electric lumbar support is great for the remains of my spine, as is the comfort mode in town.

Just mobile phone snaps for now. I'll do some proper ones when time and the weather let me. And I'll be concentrating on running the little beastie in so I can use 'Sport' properly ;)
