Finally had a chance to give it a proper clean, and then went for a drive along some twisty roads - I smile when I'm driving!

Nice man, the colour looks great!

Where abouts in Scotland are you from? Could you suggest any good driving roads? ;)

I'm up in the Highlands - head out west - twisty roads and not much traffic; watch out on single track roads though, it's easy to get carried away! Where are you Callum?

I'm not far away from Elgin, I'm in Inverness (and no, I haven't been to Elgin in the Scirocco).

I am like on the other side of the world haha, I live in a small village a good 20 miles south of Glasgow. There are some pretty decent driving roads down towards Dumfries etc through the Southern Uplands, the B740 from Douglas to Sanquar through Crawfordjohn is one of my favourite roads ever, starts as a huge straight section of the old motorway that you can easily max your car on, not that you would of course! Then it turns off onto this amazingly smooth twisting and undulating drive about 10 miles long. It wont be a patch on some of the stuff you will drive on but its easily the best piece of road where im from. Apart from that it is just disappointing town and farm roads with really poor surfacing  It isn't so bad just now in the Rav 4 but once those huge tires and spongy suspension go its going to be a nightmare lol

Once I get the roc I am goin to head up north to experience some of the better roads of Scotland and pitch a tent in a field somewhere haha :P

There are a few cracking roads up in my homeland that were built for the Roc and IMHO in order are

1 Ardarroch to Applecross (was featured on the telly last night - don't know the name of the programme but it's about some dude setting himself up living the goodlife on the West coast of Scotland) this is the highest moutain road in the UK and has some proper Italian style hairpins.

2 The military road or Glen Fruin road from Loch Lomond over to Gairlochhead (where they keep the nuclear submarines) is awesome. After you have done it a few times you can park up at the top of the hill for five minutes (when heading west) and see that there is nothing coming back up the glen i.e. the road is completly empty!!! Watch out on the bottom part though as the military rozzers are everywhere.

3 Glenshee - there is a new approach to the glen from Blairgowrie which is one very, very long sweeping bend that leads onto some insane tight corners and windy twisty bits sprinlked with long open straights to get past any Sunday drivers. Brought the Roc down the glen quicker than my mate can on his ZX10

Unfortunatley I now live in North London and can only dream of roads like that.

Agree'd on the B740 and Dumfriesshire in general. The roads are lovely, quiet, and just the right amount of twisty and straight. Dalveen pass is brilliant in the morning and around dusk, and the A702 from Thornhill all the way west is brilliant for a drive. If you see a Black 'roc on it it's probably me ;)
