Climatic control Auto Switch function

Post by aesmidz »

I have the latest climatic AC System in my 2010 Scirocco
Does anyone know what the lights mean in the auto switch
The light in the left hand side of the switch is system on, but if you push the auto button again the light on the right hand side of the switch lights. What function is this? It's not in the handbook

I might be wrong but I believe it increases the intensity that the fan will operate, with the second setting (right hand side light) being higher fan speeds. The graphic which appears on the touchscreen shows a bigger fan symbol to indicate your selection.

Yeah AUTO will automatically play with the fan speed and temperature etc to keep the car at whatever temp you've selected on the dial.

Didn't realise what you meant until I checked when I drove the car home tonight from work. Never noticed if you pushed the Auto button again the LED on the right comes on.

From what I can see it does what RickG says and alters the intensity of the fan. The left LED being a lower intesity than the right LED reflected in the display by a different size fan symbol

You may want to read the post again. It seems the Auto button has 2 settings. I have never noticed this until I read this post

We know that but do what the OP says and push the Auto button twice

Yeah it just tries harder to get to the set-point. It settles down once it gets there I think.
