ipod and new car

Post by Robbie73 »

Picked it up on Sunday 09 plate, was great to have a sunny day for the pick up.

Did about 60 miles going here and there, what a great car this is! I'm a very happy man!!!!

Will post some pics up soon.

OK my question please, plugging the ipod nano (new version) into the media socket via the usb cable that came with the car.
Im getting the message no media found.

I have seen the seen in another thread

"Its from one of the sales brochures.

The ipod won't work if you just plug the normal ipod cable into the USB one supplied with the car, you have to use the official vw ipod cable, that should be supplied with the car, which plugs straight into the bottom of the ipod."

Do I need a new cable from the dealers then???

Cheers

You should have been given 2 cables.

Do not let them try and charge you for the ipod one. It's free.

Thanks for that, salesman just called back. Yes the car comes with 2 leads but you have to order the second one from the
parts department which comes free of charge. Picking mine up on Wednesday, any excuse for a drive!!!!
