I thought the latest 2011 module was 7P6 035 730 C ?

According to my fiend at VW, it's what I will get on the new Rocco. VW have apparently now seen the error of their ways and abandoned RSAP in favour of HFP. Apparently works with pretty much any phone (Iphone, Nokia, Sony, Blackberry etc), and gives text ability on the RNS only.

MY10.5 builds with factory Bluetooth still include these buttons and the alarm interior sensors.
The spanner connects to vw assistance, I gets you to customer services and the microphone actives voice control / dialing.

I can run VCDS mine tomorrow if it helps to get the Bluetooth part no.

Its not even listed on ETKA as a part for a scirocco , the latest scirocco one is 5N0 035 730 D

Collected the car two weeks ago and yes the mileage is somewhat high...
VCDS 10.6.3 doesn't have a long coding helper for the module.

Sure no problem mick
btw 182 it shows like that on mine but i can only read my messages off the highline computer not the rcd which sucks.
On another note, another thing that is annoying that i came a cross a while back, is that the rns 310/510 only show the time on the screen when off but the rcd doesnt weird

I believe the 7P6 module is UHV only, ie standard BT. 3C8 is RSAP and UHV capable, and in RSAP mode can send and receive SMS on the RNS.

Steve P is your man to explain the full differences.

As I understand it the differences between 7P6 B, C and D modules are voice control and text to speach.
C = pre 2010 module inc voice control and TTS made by Parrot
B = no voice control, no TTS for use with RNS510 systems where that unit provides both features or in countries where no voice control / TTS language pack is available made by Parrot
D = 2010 > onwards module inc voice control and TTS made by Parrot

The 3C8 series is I understand somewhat more complex with bluetooth 1.2, bluetooth 2.0 and bluetooth 2.1 variants out in the wild some made by Nokia Automotive and some by Novero, at least one version is suppose to support multi point pairing.

Hi all,
hope you don't mind me sticking my question in here rather than starting a new tread?

Collected my GT210 on Thursday last week - specified with the HFP bluetooth. I had a quick look at the Telephone menu on the MFD - but gave up on attempting to pair with my iPhone as I was in a bit of a rush.

Anyway, when I returned to it having more time, the whole Telephone menu has disappeared from the MFD. Anyone seen this? Any ideads how to get it back?
