Hmm, so that's why the salesperson gave me a free road atlas even though I'd ordered satnav - just in case!

Ok car went into dealers to have new nav fitted and data installed, My dad dropped it off and picked it up for me as he works down the road. Well i got my car back this evening and is the nav working? NO
It appears all the dealer has done is loaded and supplied me with a data DVD, they have not fitted the new unit. This appears to have had some effect in that the HDD now seems to be working again. The nav however still wont give me directions.
When i ask it to calculate a route it sayd "NO ROUTE RECCOMENDATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS DESTINATION" and when i press the "i" button go get it to repeat it says "THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM IS INACTIVE"
Well i rang the stealers to discuss the issue and was told a new unit was not fitted as there was no fault (the opposite to what i was told last week) and that the unit had been tested and worked fine. I asked if they had actually driven the car and tried to get directions to a destination i was told "probably not". Now by the time i rang up all of the service staff had gone home and i couldnt speak to the actuall person who did the work (or lack thereof). I await a call back tomorrow!
Now this is p155ing me off a bit as when i visited the stealer last week i was told it definetly needed a new unit, now someone has decided it doesnt, but i am still left witha £1200 option that doesnt bloody work !!!!!! arrrrgggghhhhhhh

yes i could do this, but why should i waste another couple of hours of my time doing this when i did it 2 weeks ago and they diagnosed a bust nav unit then!
