Re: What's your best ever MPG
The display showed 67.7mpg when i got home from a run down to Luton and back from Brum on the M1 yesterday . I had it upto just over 76mpg at one point!
I was doing pretty much 70-75mph all the way, apart from the 50mph roadworks.

I can rely on my car, it's my Roc!!!

Re: What's your best ever MPG
I can't say I'm impressed with any of they results.
If yous want economy, buy my Remapped 1.4TSi (122ps)
My overall average is 49mpg, and I've seen 67.2mpg for a motorway journey.
I usually get about 35-40mpg if I'm just blasting about.
I've checked it by starting with a full tank, driving until its empty then Noting down how many Litres it took to refill it and how many miles I done on that tank.
And it's proved that the MFD is only off by about 3mpg.
I wonder how much I'll squeeze out my new Bluemotion 140 GT

Re: What's your best ever MPG
Hi guys, I assume that most of you who have posted on this topic are basing your economy figures on what is displayed on the MFD, the best way to work it out is manually from full tank to full tank as the MFD is not that accurate, and I have to say it has become less accurate since it was re-mapped!!
I am getting around the 44mpg mark on a day to day basis and about 50mpg on a good motorway run (average between 75mph - 85mph), but the MFD regularly displays 60 + mpg.
Still pretty impressive economy for a car with over 200bhp.

Re: What's your best ever MPG
My 122 TSi on my 65mile daily commute averages about 42mpg ish if im just plodding along in 6th at about 60 - 70mph, if doing 80+ it goes to 30-32mpg. my average over 8000 miles is 35.4.I can't say I'm impressed with any of they results.

Re: What's your best ever MPG
Most I've got out a tank is 610 miles. Works out on average, 49.9mpg.
I just always drive at 60mph on The motorway run every morning. It's also gained about about 5% economy since remapping it. Tbh, I don't know how it gets it, it's just a tiny wee 1.4 with a turbo smaller than my fist lol.

Re: What's your best ever MPG
Also, when I blasted to work one morning at the cars top speed (I won't quote any figures lol) for 11 miles, I returned 24mpg that time haha.
My mate with an R32 struggles to get that if he tries.

Re: What's your best ever MPG
610
to be honest i always fill up my car full, i try to keep tabs on how many miles i get but always end up forgetting !
I think ive probaly reached about 430 off the top of my head. ( of what i can remember )
I dont struggle to reach 40mpg if driving 60mph. But just abit to slow. I try to keep up at 75 ish but thats when it lacks. (depending on road type/surface)
Is the on board Miles data correct? when i fill up it goes up to about 465 miles remaining..
Wow R32 , better have deep pockets

Re: What's your best ever MPG
Here's what I got yesterday after a trip out for the day!
I reset the trip so you can see how many miles I did. About 190 of those miles were on dual carriageway and the rest round town

Re: What's your best ever MPG
Is 70mpg easily doable? Or is it changing gear at 1700rpm religiously?
