Re: My black Scirocco - R-front fitted

Post by mer2os »

Hi Kenti,
Hope you could help me.
I want to install the R-front as you did, but the problem is the electronics/electric wiring.
I have a Scirocco 2.0 (but the 2008-2009 model) not sure if what you did to your car applies to mine.
So my question is, how can I manage to fit the R-front, install LEDs, remove the fog lights, etc...
I asked the VW workshop, they told me that it is possible to fit the R-front but the problem will come from the LEDs since the Kufatec are not compatible on my car since it's the 2008-2009 model.
What did you do before installing the Kufatec wires? What LEDs did you use? How did you get rid of the error message?
Please I need your advice.
Thanks

Hi dude,

I have now installed to the Kufatec-wiring kit on my car, but before that I used modified R-LEDs. That is, R-LEDs with orange blinkers LED installed in addition to the standard LEDs. You will not get the correct R-light setup with this, but it'll be plug&play with the existing wirings on your car. I did not remove the error message for the fogs (because I was going to convert with the Kufatec), but that can be removed with vagcom.

I didn't realise how subtle the R-line spoiler was but it makes a lot of difference

Probably the nicest 'Roc I've seen Kenti, those wheels and ride height look perfect.. congratulation  Although I must admit.. the RS6's look even more stunning

Hey,
Thanks for your reply.
Will check with my garage (dealer) if they can do it the old fashioned way.
I guess Kufatec-wiring won't work for my car since it's the 2008 model.
Anyway will see what their feedback is...
Cheers

I agree, the RS6-2 look stunning, but I personally think the Savannah's look a tad sweeter in real.
