Investigated a 3 second long cold start up camshaft/valve adjuster loud rattle that has appeared intermitently in the last few weeks.

Decided to exercise (worked 0% - 100% actuations by VCDS contol) the Camshaft Control Valve N205 to see if that frees up the sticking valve.

Also exercised the Supercharger magnetic clutch, solenoid boost control valve N75, turbo dump valve and motorised throttle.

The colour of the alloys are looking pretty nice Shaun. Did you get them sprayed/coated ? If so could you reccomend where ?

Thanks

Washed it after its been sitting for seven weeks unused.

Cleaned my powder coated 19" Lugano's with Iso-Propyl Alcohol and applied Gtechniq C5 Wheel Armour to them.

Fitted alloy pedals. literally a 2 minute job and they make a big difference.

Tomorrow is a big day for my Scirocco. £600 worth of Alpine subwoofer and amplifier arriving. Custom MDF box is made and ready to fit. The box fills the space in the centre of the space saver spare and is only raised 72mm above the original boot floor. I'll post pics when its done.

mine got a nice wash which it needed now its working rather hard during the week, I even clayed the doors which were feeling abit gritty, and then gave it a brief wax so it had a bit of protection & as I was just tucking it back up in the garage, happy & clean, I glanced up to see..... in the 5 mins between polishing it off and reversing it into the garage... a bird had poo'd right in the middle of the bonnet!!!! :( luckily it was very watery & came off very quickly & easily with a liberal spraying of QD

Cheers

I gave a friend an impromptu driving lesson in an automatic.

She's off to Vegas on holiday and realised she'd never driven an auto so I said I'd take her for a spin :D
A few laps of the local housing estates and I think she got the hang of it although we didn't get out of 3rd gear!
