RNS 510 VCDS Options?

Morning folks,

Anyone any idea of the steps or codes to find out the firmware version on the RNS510 ?

Holding the setup button doesn't work for me ? It's an 09...

Holding SETUP button pressed after 3 sec or more "Radio Service Mode" appears. Select "Version Information" to check your software version.

You can also see your firmware version in VCDS, opening module 37 Navigation (or module 56 Radio).

Cheers for that, it didn't work holding SETUP so will plug in VCDS a bit later on...

In VCDS you will see it like this


In the above photo , software version is "2660"

You can also enable "Service Mode"
Using Vagcom/VCDS open Channel 37 – Navigation, go into adaptation and change channel 50 to 1 (will be 0). Reboot unit after coding it.
To enter the test/setup mode when the RNS 510 is operating press and hold the setup button, keep holding it when the "Radio Service Mode" appears and shortly after the "Service Mode" will appear.

Another question about the RNS, is the MDI interface restricted to 2GB also ? Just tried a 16GB USB stick and it isn't picking it up ? Any ideas?

Right got the firmware version thanks above....firmware 1300 is going on tomorrow or Sunday....looking forward to 32gb cards working :-) just hope it can read more than 8 folders...:-)
