Hi everyone,
1st time poster having spent a while browsing the forums for advice.
I am about to "press the button" on a Rocco R, 2nd hand, 2011 model and just wondered if anyone has any tips or advice for me.
Its coming from a main VW dealer, has 2 years warrenty left on it, a years breakdown (not that i need it as i get it with my bank account) and they are offering 2 years free servicing if I use their finance.
Is there anything I should particularly be looking for/at on the car on my final inspection before signing the papers ? Any common problems or faults or signs of abuse ? Also is there anything I should be trying to get thrown in or done to the car as part of the deal ?
The things i thought to try were, they tax it, roof bars (dont ask), throw in the decent matts, the boot liner (sexy i know)
Finally do you know if the 11 registered and plated car has bluetooth as standard as I have seen conflicting details, the current brochure I have picked up says it is, but the spec of the car and other similar vehicles dont mention it.
Thanks everyone foryour help in advance, and hopefully we will be speaking much more soon when i am an official member of the club !

Mats are factory fit so should be included. Bluetooth was a cost option on 11 plate cars.
Check for tread depth all round on a year old car you should have about 4mm assuming 10 to 15k if car hasn't been thrashed. Wear should be even accross the face.
Also look for low level scuffs to the front splitter, the ground clearance is low enough to bottom out on high kerbs.

Thanks for your replies guys, so I did it! Today I have signed the paperwork and looking at week or so before I pick up my Rising blue R.
Didn't get anything off the price of the car but did get a bluetooth upgrade thrown in for free. In fairness I think I got a good deal as the price was good for the spec when compared to other similar R's available right now, so excited and a little anxious about people seeing it and thinking I've come into some dosh when in actual fact it's been hard saved for. Yay!

The salesman was roshan kooner, he was very good in that he answered all my questions, processes the sale quickly and without any issues. I Was very happy with him, I also dealt with Gary shalders, he was the guy who did the negotiating and selling all the extras and finance. In general he was good but didn't clearly explain the finance deal to me and all the fees etc. I used my 14 day right to cancel as when I read the finance agreement I wasn't happy. So although I don't get the 2 years free servicing, I got a better finance deal and am better off when considering the service costs. I am in no way knocking them, they were all great, we did a deal that everyone was happy with and the service was top.

Hey Guys i too will be a grinning 'R' owner on saturday
Have traded in my brilliant viper 2.0tsi dsg for a fully specced viper 'R' on an 11 plate with just under 10k on it. Think i got a decent trade in which meant that the roc retained 63% of its original purchase cost.Only prob is it is a 3 hour drive to pick it up but i guess i will be grinning all the way home
