What's your Build Date? (Estimated or Confirmed)

I ordered mine on Dec 27th. Was told build week 6. Rang up today to find out the latest. Supposedly its been made and waiting to go to the port.

I was hoping it was on that 'Bouzas vessel'!
Ahh well! Only a few more weeks to go! I cant wait!

Does anyone know the VW customer service number as I want to check the status on my car, the last I was told was build week 6.

Just rang VW customer service, turns out my car was pushed back and is now confirmed build week of 8.

Still not long to wait, when did you order? Mine was ordered on the 22nd December. I can't wait though, really excited now counting down the days.

Ordered 19th November.....The longer the better really, as I go away on holiday from the 29th of this month, so the longer it takes to be built the more likely it will be ready to pick up about the time I come back from holiday and I dont have the worry of them driving it around on trade plates.

When do you pick yours up?

1st March, I've already had the registration number from the dealer. Why has yours took so long? Are you having DSG???

Yes I have specced DSG...I have no idea why it has taken so long.

R's tend to batched on the production line.
Where as other models just get assembled randomly engine wise.

I don't know how that works then. I ordered mine before you on the 23rd and I'm told build week 10. The dealer said go back on Wednesday this week and he'll give me a confirmed delivery date.
Not happy at their service so far. I'm having to drive round in a hire car while I wait

I just ordered my Scirocco, well exactly a month ago today I did and the dealer has given me a build week - week 16!!!

This seems far too long?! I was expecting it to be here for around April but the dealer said this means I won't be seeing until the end of May?

Does this all sound about right?

I've today been told my Scirocco has been delayed (due to shortage of DSG gearboxes) and is now estimated to be build week 16, but said that should give me a delivery date of approx end of April. Seems rather different to what you've been told, Fsambuka.

I got 'The Phone Call' yesterday

Mine is ready at the dealers now! Im going to wait till Thursday (1st march) so that its registered on a '12 plate! Cant wait!

I've only got a week to wait now. Hopefully I'll get it on the first although it's a company car so not sure yet. Mine has been at the dealers for a week now and I even know my reg number. The wait is killing me.

I have just been told my build week is 15 - considering we are on build week 9 and I ordered mine a month ago, this is annoying! First was promised delivery early April, then mid April, then late April now early May..... Wish I could be so non-committal at work.....

Just ordered mine been told by the dealer three months!! I hear that normally every year around April the car gets an update from VW is that true? If so anyone know what these updates would be?
