has anyone gone for the smt (service, maintenance and tyres) package for their scirocco, i've had them on two a3s based on 20k mileage they were £52 month, was a bargain given i average 3 tyres a year approaching £200 a pop (all be it smt means you get contis from national so vw get a huge discount) so have been quids in, also is the scirocco on long life or standard servicing intervals?
it would appear vw/audi have got wise to the tyre issue so curious whether anyone has had any figures, the dealer nearly fell off his chair for our gti pirelli which equates to about £90 a month based on 20k (it will do subtantially less than this but only way to compare like with like) mainly due to the tyres given vw have to reshod it with pirelli p-zeros which are standard kit and not contis, in essence and are also £200 a go, strangley the tyre deal still seams good as I cannot imagine us getting much more than 12.5k out of a set of fronts, the pirelli is on a standard intervals
i'm bracing myself for an increase on the scirocco when i run the figures

Re: SMT Packages
I am thinking about taking out a 3 year service and maintenance contract. I would be interested to hear what the yearly 10000mile service costs are likely to be. I would imagine it should be similar to Golf V GTI. Does anyone know? How much is the cost of the 2nd and 3rd year of VW Roadside Assistance?
Cheers
