AA roadside assistance renewal

Post by Kev »

Companies must make a fortune from people who just renew without doing any checking.

I got my AA renewal notice yesterday and it was a rather hefty £225 for home start, relay and roadside help. So I went online, plugged in the same services and got a quote of £99!

Rang them up, said I wasn't very happy and hey presto I got exactly the same stuff for less than half price. The guy said to me yeah well we tell people to shop around for the best prices. Yes that's fair enough but I shouldn't have to shop around for the best price on the same services from the same company I've been with for nearly 20 years!!

loyalty gets you nowt. just like the fuel firms, you can save quite a bit by shopping around then contact your current provider as they may give you it even cheaper

If you'd taken it out online, via Quidco you'd have got £50 cashback on top of your online discounted price.

Worth a look for all kinds of online shopping - for eg saved £80 on my ins policy with the cheapest company -Aviva, & got 15% casback on the bairns winter tyres from Mytyres.

£145 for two years RAC cover through VW or just over £20 extra on the warranty renewal for a year.
