I might end up in Birmingham in March, since the gf wants to go there for a dog show (bringing the dogs, so my Scirocco wont be there unfortunately).
But still, any recommendations on what to see while we are there?! Im not into old church and stuff like that, but nice nature could be nice. Remember, the dogs will join us so it has to be "pets allowed"..

Wow, ummm, I used to be able to list a fair few things, but I guess it depends if your into anything but nature whilst there. I wouldn't say it's brilliant for shopping, yeah the Bullring is nice, but it's only nice to Birmingham, it's hardly a tourist point if you understand? Pity really as 30+ miles north is Cannock Chase and that is pretty nice.

Get to Coventry for the Car Museum, the Bike Museum at Meriden and plenty of industrial history to be dug out around Brum if you look for it! Other than than I would suggest the M6 home is possibly the it's best feature
Cannock chase is a good suggestion for the hounds though. I'm assuming that the dog show is at the NEC in which case remember that you are not too far from Stratford on Avon, Kenilworth and Warwick. I've lived in Coventry for 12 years and not seen half the stuff I should have!

on a street called coventry road, sparkbrooke i think, near the birmingham FC ground driving towards coventry ( near the big mosque and the green minaret) there are a number of Lebanese and middle eastern restaurants. some has a Nagila smoking room at the back. And you could even round off the evening with a visit to the 'garden of eden' on the A45 ( next to the new Holiday inn express).
