2.0 tsi mpg.

Post by xlabax »

Hi all, currently looking for a rocco, either a 1.4 160 or tdi however a friend has a golf gti with the same engine as the 2.0 tsi and hes getting around 35 mpg. Is it possible to achieve the same figures on the scirocco, 35 mpg is within my budget, any info would be very much appreciated.

is it the 200 or 210 brake 2.0tsi ? I had the 200 and real world driving I could get as much as 38 to 40 MPG on a run but on average it was about 32 to 34 and in town it was high 20's, the 210 is slightly better

Yes, over 35mpg is easy to acheive. I got 46mpg this afternoon, but I was stuck in a long 'train' of vehicles for miles doing little more than 45mph.

35 is a good average, but as ever, depends how you drive it.

Good, that means i dont have to rule out the 2.0 tsi ( its the one i really wanted ) in terms of reliability which is the best the 1.4 or 2.0, my 2nd car is a honda so used to reliable cars, also has anybody used chris knott insurance, and is he cheaper.

Hey Todd - my goodness, it was. Total garage, I had to do a 3 point turn on the forecourt as I was determined to get the super unleaded pump! Wasn't that where I saw you before I think, you have the 'R' LED's as I recall?

its seems like the 1.4 has a few issues so i would go for the 2.0 tsi

2.0L mileage

Post by Bob a »

I have been looking and seen a nice blue 2.0l(petrol) Scirocco second hand in my local VW garage.

Yes i can look on the web site for fuel economy but tend to find them inaccurate.

What are they really like for fuel

Town
Trip
Combined.

Thanks

At motorway speeds I've yet to better about 35mpg. If you're just tootling along at 55mph it'll get up to 40. Around town I get about 28.

I have found the feedback to be very useful.

I run a V6 mondeo and get just over 20 so all seems good with this.

Thanks folks
