Trolley jack point?

Post by MOT »

Hi all

After a bad experience last year with the factory supplied jack, i am wanting to use a trolley jack for changing my summer wheels over to winter wheels.
The question i have is am i ok to just trolley jack the car up from the same points on the sill as i would use for the factory jack?
Or are there other areas on the car underneath where i should jack it up from??
Many thanks in advance

Use the existing four jack points where the Scirocco' tool kit jack goes as indicated by the dimple points in the sill panels.

Handbrake on, in 1st or reverse gear and chock the opposite side to lifting side front tyre, both front & back faces, whether it be the front or rear side corner being lifted. Lift only the wheel/tyre you are changing off the ground. Let the other three wheel/tyres continue to take some of the Scirocco's weight.
