If you want something practical, get a Golf (easy access boot, 5 seats and with GTi the option of having 5 doors). By all accounts the Golf R is the best drive, but reviews that I've seen struggle to justify the price premium over the GTi, but if money is no object....

Personally, the Scirocco is the best looking car out of you choices, by miles. In fact for me, I don't consider the looks are matched/bettered until you get into way more expensive territory like AMs and Italian exotica... (just need a lotto win, would help if I played though...). It always looks great when I approach it from any side/angle.

I LOVE driving it, I feel involved and I am sure that the car has far depths than I have yet discovered (i.e. I chicken out before the car losses grip/composure).

I intend to keep mine for a good while, and I've not once thought that I made anything but the best choice. :D

Worth chucking the Ed35 Golf in the mix, priced one up yesterday and was pleasantly surprised and tempted by a 3 door candy white :)
