Can anyone give me advice on getting a new front grill

Post by roscom »

Some idiot with a tow bar reversed into my car. Only damage is a slight crack on the bottom grill. Its not too bad, but because I know its there, I want it fixed.

Did a few google searches, but surprisingly didn't really find anything. Am I faced with having to take it into Volkswaggen..??

I noticed a few people on this forum modifying their front grill, but I'd be quite happy with the honeycomb grill... just dont know where to get it without paying a fortune.

Can anyone help..?

Yup, quite cheap at the dealers. Its part number 1K8 853 677 9B9 just about £50.

Removal/Fitting instructions here if you feel like doing it yourself.

Thanks for the advice, I'll go round to them tomorrow. Didn't expect them to be that reasonable.

Cheers. :)

youll be surprised how cheap some things actually are, if you look at ebay for items they are quite often more expensive than the dealers as people dont think to price them up and think they are getting a bargain.
