MPG and CO2 figures

I'm picking up my R on Thursday, but am a bit puzzled about the correct MPG and CO2 figures.

All the used 11 plate Rs on the VW used car locator state the Combined MPG as 37.7mpg and 174g/km which is what I'm expecting/I've used in my decision making.

BUT looking at the VW new cars and also 10 plate used cars the figures are 35.3mpg and 187g/km.

Have VW messed up on all the used car listings?

Obviously a bit late to change anything now, but just a bit peeved if the figures I've been using for comparison are off, especially as I'm a company car driver so the difference in figures will increase the taxman's money grabbing... :(

265PS Scirocco R

Man.: CO - 189 g/km, Urban 25.0 mpg, Extra Urban 45.6 mpg, Combined 34.9 mpg
DSG : CO - 187 g/km, Urban 25.9 mpg, Extra Urban 44.8 mpg, Combined 35.3 mpg

The 174g/km & 37.7 MPG are for the 2.0ltr TSI GT DSG.

I've had 37mpg when I've been driving like very carefully on the motorway. Usually get 32mpg on the way to work.

My R has used 1091 litres of fuel in 7432 miles (30.86 mpg) I have seen 34mpg a couple of times but the trip to work (30 miles @ 70mph) will just touch 31mpg
