My scirocco has expired.

Post by insanojackson »

My scirocco ownership has been cut short, On sunday the engine on my 1.4tsi expired despite it only having covered 13500 miles. Of course its being replaced under warranty but as its the latest in a list of faults my car has suffered as a gesture of goodwill VW have agreed to buy it back from me.

Its for a bit less than i had agreed on a private sale the same bloody day the engine gave up but worth it to end my nightmare with this car.

Lovely car to drive, comfortable, nice interior, but i think it was just too mechanically complicated for its own good.

It's a shame. The 1.4 TSi seems to be a weak link. I've only covered just over 3,000 miles in the 8 weeks of ownership of my 170 diesel and touch wood I've had no problems. Perhaps a change to the black stuff might suit you better.

Why don't you do a radio swap with money your way for the nav system? Make a little more back on it!

because my car is in a vw dealers with its engine out and i have no access to the nav. Also the price i had been given was including the nav.

What happened? EPC light came on on sunday car running rough and low on power, diagnosis on monday no compression cylinder 1, new engine needed

Maybe this is related to previous misfire issues i had last year that were put down to a software issue? or the abs/esp loom that was replaced? or the water pump that was replaced? but probably not the faulty sat nav that was also replaced?

I loved my car but sadly i think it was a lemon
