spare key only opens drivers door

Can anyone help, my key opens both doors, my wifes key only opens the drivers door. Can I change it so hers opens both as well?

Each key fob is individual so you need to put it in the ignition and switch on. Then set it up in the MFD menus. Also, the mirror down on reverse if you have folding mirror option is also set to the individual key so each needs setting. I think electric seats do the same if fitted.

If one used the "stalk method" to turn off the DRLs then that is also key-specific.

Yep that worked, put the wife's key in, went into the menu and switched it to open both doors, thanks guys

It can be done via the diagnostics using VCDS on a Scirocco with a Multi-Function Steering Wheel set up fitted. Not had a non-MFSW Scirocco to play with so verify the key in ignition will be recognised. The changes mostly in controller 09 settings where it can be done.
