So, after a year of happy motoring in my CW 'Roc, I've chopped it in for my next set of wheels - an 08 Porsche Cayman S.
My Roc didn't miss a beat once, and has been a comfortable and surprisingly quick companion since July last year. However, I bought it at just the wrong time - literally just days before meeting Alex, whom I'll be moving in with next week, thus allowing us to get rid of the Rocco and use her A3 for practical stuff and the Cayman for fun.
These are great cars and if, as may well happen, the missus changes jobs and the company car goes, I can well see me parking a TDi 'Roc on the drive next to the Porsche.
Thanks for all the help and laughs over the last year - this has been a great site - almost as good, in fact, as the cars themselves.
Cheers guys - peace and love!
Jim

Excellent choice. I had one of the early Cayman S (March 06 to July 07) and absolutely loved it.
I also had an invite from Porsche to go a test drive the new Cayman R at Silverstone a couple of months ago. Now my manual Cayman S was good. Really good. However, the PDK Cayman R was a league above.
What spec is your 08?

Yeah - I had a 987 Boxster S, and the Cayman is like that, only tauter - superb cars. I have PCM, PASM, Sports seats and wheel, 19" Carrera Sport rims, cruise control and the short shift kit. In white. Can't wait...
As to the 'R' - I did consider it, but I wanted something RWD ultimately and it came down to an M3 or the Cayman - I'd like to try a Cayman R, though, for now, they're out of my budget, and the M3 doesn't quite have 'it' like the Porsche does.
