Lowering the R

Post by sciroccorocket »

has anyone had any ground clearance problems after lowering the R, I have caught the front spoiler twice now and reversing out of my drive my son reckons I only have about 5mm clearance, I'm now worried lowering it for obvious reasons

I've scraped the bottom lip of the front bumper already post lowering but it was quite a steep angle that did it. Not had probs with anything else. Using H&R 35mm springs :)

Is the standard R lower than a standard Roc?

I've had my GT lowered 35mm and it's perfect for scraping on the top of curbs. Especially if it's a parking space that dips more than usual into the curb. First time I panicked about ripping the front bumper off. I think it's a lower bumper than standard ones though.

rocket since i've had round 2 with the lowering stick i have pointed out the front bumper issue to those who have asked about coilovers on there R as they want more than H&Rs (they have been warned and know who they are), have you got any scope for doing the low clearance bit at an angle as the way the front sweeps back at the head lights effectively means you cane reduce the front overhang, this technique is very useful :)

ETTO eh.

I think it looks 100 times better with the lowering springs.

the initial "modified" launch pics of the R looking slammed was total con. The standard stance is 4x4 esque.
