Chinese made 2din GPS DVD.How reliable?

Post by Tsakonas »

Hi there,Im searching for a all in one device for my much anticipated rocc.Requirements are
1.Fast response
2.DVB-T MPEG-4 capability
3.Bluetooth capability
4.CAN BUS compatibility

noticed this http://www.chinavasion.com/2-din-car-dvd/cvfyc96/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

it costs ~ 350 pounds in Europe and specs wise,seems to be by far superior than famous euro brands while it costs much less.
Anybody installed this or something similar ,chinese made?

I think I saw a video of this unit and if it's is that one then the interface is truly hideous, interestingly it's quite hard to find a video or even pictures of it in use on the website !

And that's what's suspicious about it! And for whatever's worth, I would personally rather save up a tiny bit more money, and buy something perhaps more popular amongst the majority, so then people can back it up and you know it's reliable.

If this is like the other double din Chinese units maps are not included... you'll need tomtom, Garmin or iGO for windows mobile.

The chinavision unit is not DVB-T MPEG4 compatible.

There are so many different ones that you cannot answer the question.
However this company:
http://www.audiosources.net/newview.asp?types=&id=171
has been awarded an official VW aftermarket deal in Korea. So it should be reasonably?! Be carefull to order the latest version, I think is V4.
You can mail them directly and they sell directly to consumer.
