I ordered mine at the end of the Aug.
My unconfirmed build week is 4 so I don't expect to see it before March.
If your dealer promises Jan on a new order, I'd take it with a large pinch of salt.

ordered mine back in april and was told on tuesday i,m looking at november to get it.!!!!!!!!
salesman said pana roof,sat nav and xenons were reason car was going to take so long.what a load of crap.

ordered deep blue rising on april 8th,leather,electric seats,flat tyre indic,front and rear mats,folding mirrors,pano sunroof,xenons,sat nav,winterpack and dynaudio.

Ordered mine at the end of Aug and got my scheduled date a few weeks ago as week 49. I ran my dealer today amid reports that bi-xenon option was delaying those cars only, I have that option. However he went on to say that those cars with bi-xenon’s will not start build until week 45, he said you should not be affected since yours was after week 45. I asked him to check mine again as ultimately delays will affect me, however mine is still scheduled as week 49, so looking for week 2 or 3 in January for delivery.

The wait is unbearable!

My only consolation is that I'll get an 09 Plate - unless it moves forward.
Not sure why mine seems comparatively later than everybody else's maybe the glass roof ??

Mine was ordered 1st september and has confirmed build week 43!!!

But no fancy xenons or pan. roof!

Same, 9th of Jan delivery cos of no xenons or pana roof. I'm expecting pushbacks but not as late as March I hope Morrissey.

Ordered last weekend expect to pick up car 26/7 Sept . Otherwise they were saying some time in December!

went to dealer today and mine is now showing week 42, not sure why and they are not aware of any spec issues, irony was otherhalf's gti pirelli was there for us to look at having been pdi's (she picks it up week on saturday) and we'd ordered on the same day, both cars were ordered blind so first time have seen a pirelli in the flesh and does look sinster, we even liked the stitching and the yellow and alcantara feels great, added bonus was gti comes with tyre sensors as standard and the sliding cover to cover the cupholders

i know the feeling langlord painful it is, especially when you see the demo outside the dealers, its not the a3s a bad car and i have enjoyed thrashing the life out of it the last week, i don't reckon the missus will let me drive the pirelli till its run in either

Well, last week I rang my dealer to see if I had a confirmed build date yet .Not impressed with the response! She told me I might not see the car this year!! I'd ordered 1st week in August - Nightmare
After I'd picked myself up off the floor she informed me that due to huge demand for the Rocco VW can't cope
Anyway after being away for a week , had a message to say ring us regarding your order.
Apparently my build week has jumped around all over the place (I was originally told to expect the car end of October) week 4, yes 4!!! . Then 51 then 49.At the moment it's 48 but still not confirmed . The reason for this delay is they've run out of Dynaudio bits.She seems to think that's now been resolved - hence my build has come back to 48. The only good news was I could add the smokers pack (don't smoke just want the lid) which she did there and then. I just hope there isn't a mad rush on those which could delay even further.
I was also informed that they had stopped taking any further orders due to the delays expected.

this is really getting painful now, iroc how are you finding the car after a good few weeks of ownership.

Andy least you have a car to use, I cant believe I took the carazy decision selling mine 2 months ago but I suppose least i missed the real crash in second hand prices

3 weeks in and all is great with the car. Still running it in fairly gently. I can comment on one thing, that being the ACC, anybody that says there isn't much difference between the settings have any sense of feeling. What a difference between sport and normal/comfort.

was told on weds that build date was week 46.i put deposit down in april.am wondering if any one out there ordered one b4 i did.
i think vw owe me big time.

In your case week 46 should be your delivery not build, they do owe you man, either that or the garage cocked up big time. I ordered mine last week of Aug and I have a build date of week 48 (originally 49), still not confirmed however.

My car is build week 40. Dealer emailed me this morning to say that it has already been built and to expect dilery 2-3 weeks!
