There is no way your tyres have went from 6mm to just over 2mm in 1000 miles unless you've been driving it as if it was a Corsa. I think you're dealer is fibbing as I would expect it still to be on it's orginal front tyres at that mileage and again there is no way that the wear would only be 1mm in 14k miles.

That's kind of what I thought, but as I was so excited when I bought it, I didn't really spend a huge amount of time checking the car over, and very naively assumed that approved used would be enough to give me peace of mind.
To be fair 15k miles out of a set of front tyres on an R is better than average. I would do your homework and check what is the best price you can get a pair of tyres for and compare that to the dealers "cost" offer. If the latter is more expensive then bargain saying how disappointed you are that you were supplied an approved used car with tyres that will only do you for such a short period of time along with the rationale they couldn't have been 6mm when you were sold the car. You can only try
but still 17.5k miles on set of fronts is about right...but think they might well of been quite low already when u bought it. Should have checked mate.

Yes, only a GT but I guess I am guilty of a bit of keen driving (I had a 1.9d fiat scudo van before this!) and I should have checked.
I'll swap backs to front and reign in my driving a little! (might also increase my mpg from 27.8 too!)

Looking at the pics, the wear on the first two is very similar to mine (slightly off centre tread pattern missing). Is this normal for p zeros?

R888s is a semi slick track day tyre. It will be much better in the dry when warmed up. It'll be pants in the wet but will cope as long as it's not pissing it down IMO
might be heading down the michelin route having destroyed what little remained of the contis sc3s i had on, legal but not pretty, might slap some hankook rs2s on now its a fair weather car.

Thank you,thats what the sciroccoclub.gr fellows told me,too.A guy there referred to TOYO R1R ,which ,according to manufacturers claims,seem to be a semi slick which can cope with the wet much better than the 888s ,but its not available in 235.35.19

You could try the Yokohama Neova AD08 - same sort of idea as the Toyo R1R but is available in the size you need
